Good Faith Estimate
Your Right to Know the Cost of Care
Enelle Counseling is committed to providing clear information about the cost of therapy before you begin services. Under the federal No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their insurance to pay for care generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for scheduled health care services. You may also request an estimate before scheduling services.
How We Provide Good Faith Estimates
When you begin services with Enelle Counseling, your Good Faith Estimate will be provided electronically along with your intake and informed consent documents. You will be able to save and print a copy for your records. If you would like to receive a Good Faith Estimate before becoming a client, you may request one by emailing: support@enellecounseling.com. You may also contact us with questions about fees or the expected cost of services before scheduling an appointment. Good Faith Estimates are provided in writing and include the expected charges for the services reasonably anticipated at the time the estimate is prepared.
Understanding Your Estimate
A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of expected charges, not a bill or a guarantee of the total cost of treatment. Therapy is individualized, and the frequency and duration of treatment may change as your needs and goals change. Your estimate is based on the services reasonably expected at the time it is prepared. Services that are added, changed, or scheduled separately may not be included in the original estimate. If your anticipated course of treatment changes, you may request an updated estimate. We encourage you to keep your Good Faith Estimate and compare it with your bills as you receive them.
If Your Bill Is Higher Than Your Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, if you are uninsured or self-pay and your bill from a provider is at least $400 more than the amount listed on your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill through the federal Patient-Provider Dispute Resolution process. Information about your rights and the federal dispute process is available through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
