Change comes from the willingness to see ourselves differently.
About Enelle Counseling
The name Enelle is inspired by the initials "NL," representing a nurse log—a fallen tree that becomes the foundation for new life in the forest. Though no longer standing as it once did, the nurse log nourishes, supports, and creates the conditions for growth. It reminds us that what has shaped us does not have to define our future. Even experiences that have brought pain, loss, or change can become the foundation from which resilience, healing, and new possibilities emerge.
I believe meaningful therapy is built on more than evidence-based techniques alone. While research provides the foundation for effective treatment, lasting change happens through a relationship rooted in trust, honesty, and genuine human connection.
Our work is collaborative. I don't believe in simply nodding along or offering passive reassurance. I believe in creating a space where thoughtful conversations, mutual honesty, and practical guidance can coexist with deep compassion. Here, you'll be challenged when it serves your growth, supported when life feels heavy, and equipped with skills that extend beyond the therapy room.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating demanding roles and seasons of life, including executives and organizational leaders, first responders, individuals experiencing infertility, and parents carrying the invisible weight of caring for others and navigating the pregnancy and parenthood transition. Whether your stress comes from the responsibilities you hold, the experiences you've survived, or the expectations you've placed on yourself, therapy is an opportunity to move from simply enduring life to engaging with it more fully.
My approach is rooted in the belief that resilience is not something you either have or don't have. It is something that can be strengthened. Every person already possesses capacities for adaptation, wisdom, and healing. Therapy helps uncover those strengths, develop practical tools, and create new ways of responding to life's challenges so that growth feels sustainable, not performative.
The goal is not to help you become someone different. It is to help you reconnect with the person you have always been beneath survival, stress, and self-protection, so you can lead, love, work, and live with greater clarity, confidence, and freedom.

I believe trauma work is foundational to understanding much of what brings us to therapy. Whether you are a first responder carrying the weight of what you have experienced, navigating infertility or the transition into parenthood, leading at a high level, or struggling to feel connected to yourself or your relationships, our present experiences are often shaped by what we have learned to survive.
I work with adults 18+ and couples, with a particular focus on complex trauma, first responders, infertility, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, and high-performing executives and leaders.
My work with first responders is especially personal. I have a personal connection to the first responder community, and my exposure to the quality, demands, and realities of this work has given me a deep respect for the people who do it. It has also shown me how real the consequences can be when the emotional weight of the work goes unaddressed. Having a therapist who understands the culture and demands of the profession can make it easier to be honest about what you are carrying without having to explain or defend your experience first.
I also work with high-performing executives and leaders who are accustomed to carrying responsibility for everyone else. Therapy can be a place to find your voice, build confidence, develop emotional flexibility, and navigate the different roles in your life without losing yourself in them. The goal isn't to make you less driven. It's to help you lead and live with greater intention.
Perinatal mental health is another meaningful part of my work. As a registered provider and advocate with Postpartum Support International, I support individuals and couples navigating infertility, pregnancy, postpartum transitions, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I make space for the parts of this experience that often go unspoken like the invisible load, changing identities, shifting relationships, and the pressure to feel grateful when things may feel anything but simple.

Educational Background
Working with Me:
My approach is collaborative, honest, and deeply human. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe enough to be vulnerable, but also where you can be challenged when staying comfortable is keeping you stuck. Sometimes the work is gentle. Sometimes it is direct. I don't believe you have to choose between compassion and confrontation; meaningful therapy can hold both.
I also believe in practicing what I ask of the people I work with. I have spent a lot of time learning how to walk the walk in an imperfect yet honest way. I don't believe life is about finding some permanent state of balance. Life has waves, and the goal is to learn how to navigate them as well as we can, adjusting when we need to and finding our footing again when things knock us off course.
When my therapist hat is off, I'm an animal lover with a particular soft spot for rescued babies. I cook often and love learning about cultural geography through food like where dishes come from, how they evolved, and what they tell us about the people who make them. I appreciate learning random facts and deep-diving on new topics that serve no purpose other than bring me joy. I surprise myself with my love for a tedious craft.
Ultimately, I want therapy to help you understand yourself more deeply, feel more grounded and connected, and have greater freedom in how you move through your life, not by becoming someone different, but by becoming more fully yourself.
What Sets Me Apart
People-First Approach
Everything I do is built around understanding your needs and helping you succeed. My goal is to help you feel the difference therapy can have in your specific daily life.
Long-Term Relationships
I am not just here for the now. I love creating lasting relationships with my clients and growing with them over time. There will always be challenges in life, and I prioritize building the relationship as resource to support in moving through these anticipated waves.
Focus on Freedom
I bring structure where it counts and adaptability where it matters. We work toward the insight, skills, and self-trust that allow you to navigate your life independently, with therapy becoming a resource rather than a dependency.
